“Five dollars. Guaranteed.”

I’ve been inspired by plenty of filmmakers over the years — both on YouTube and in mainstream cinema — and there are even a few films I make a point of viewing once per year. About Time is one such film. The Legend of Bagger Vance is another.

The Vardy household recently subscribed to Amazon Prime, and I was pleased to see that The Legend of Bagger Vance was screening on Prime Video. And I decided to give it another watch a few weeks ago.

If you’ve never seen the movie, it’s based on the novel of the same name by a writer whom I greatly admire, Steven Pressfield. It tells the story of Rannulph Junuh, a top-level golfer in the 1930s who has struggled since returning home from the war. He’s asked to play in a tournament with other golfing greats, such as Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen, as the hometown hero, but his confidence is shaken because he has “lost his swing.”

That’s when Bagger Vance walks onto the fairway and into his life. He offers to help him find his swing again for just five dollars… guaranteed.

I don’t want to spoil the film for you. Every time I watch it, I find myself thinking about how I need to make sure I don’t lose my authentic swing.

But, this time, I found myself thinking about something else.

I thought about how Bagger Vance was willing to help Junuh find his swing, but he’d have to put some skin in the game. That “skin” would go beyond just attention, energy, and effort. He had to be willing to part with five dollars to get the help that he would need to put it all together and deliver the goods on the golf course.

Bagger Vance helped Junuh for four rounds of golf. And when all was said and done, he had done all he wanted for that help for five dollars… guaranteed.

In my decade of work in the personal productivity and time management space, I’ve directly coached hundreds of people through one-to-one programs and group offerings. Those who have seen the most success are those who worked with me for an extended period of time, not just one session. The ones who’ve worked with me for weeks have seen profound changes in their lives because they were able to craft their time better than before.

I like helping people craft their time. I enjoy coaching. I want to do more of it and with more people.

I believe I’ve found a way to do that.

I’ve created an initiative that will help me help more people than ever before. It will help me help you.

It’s called 30 Days of TimeCrafting, a program that will help you find your way with my proven productivity methodology.

And it’s now part of the premium membership package in TimeCrafting Trust. A premium package that’ll cost you just $12.99 a month (or $99/year).

“Mike Vardy is a productivity thinking tour de force. You get actionable, reasonable, smart advice from a guy who’s been in the weeds looking for best practices for years.”
