Before I spend a post later on wrapping up my impressions of YYJFreelanceCamp, I’ve got a brief announcement to share with you.
I’ve been asked to deliver a keynote at WordCamp Victoria 2012.
While I’ve spoken at past WordCamp Victoria events (and sat on a panel last year), I’ve yet to keynote one. I’m excited to be part of the next WordCamp Victoria, slated for Saturday January 14, 2012. I’m not exactly sure what I’ll be talking about yet, but I’ll be talking — so there’s that.1
Better yet are the folks that will be delivering sessions throughout the day. While session leaders are yet to be announced, all signs point to a stellar lineup of WordPress enthusiasts and experts to grace this event in 2012. Having access to these bright folks for one day is an opportunity that shouldn’t be passed up.
Better still, the tickets for this event are just $20 each (plus taxes/fees)! I know…right?!
Attending WordCamp Victoria is a great way for those keen on getting into WordPress (whether you’re a newbie or have various levels of experience with the popular content platform) to really level up their skills. It’s not just the sessions that make the day, either. It’s the networking opportunities that present themselves, the reconnecting with those from the web that you haven’t actually seen in some time and a chance to immerse yourself in the web outside of your usual space. And you really can’t beat the price.
Get your tickets here now — because they won’t last.
1. UPDATED 11/14/11: I’ve dubbed my talk “WordPressive: WordPress Delivers the Goods.”. So that part’s done. The actual writing of the dang thing…not so much. Yet. yep, we’re good there too.
