The fight between these two things starts internally.
Do too much and you’ll not give proper attention to anything. So, you’ll be doing it all over. Mind you, the “all” will get less and less over time because you’re bound to not have as many people trusting that you can get the work done well.
Why do we do too much? To impress. To make more money. To not miss out on opportunity. Yet doing too much often involves a wasted effort because the effort wasn’t complete. You miss out on a chance to impress. You miss out on more money. You miss an opportunity.
So get over doing it all. No one can do it all, so don’t try.
Instead, try to do things well. Then you’ll rarely have to do anything over. Least of all…well, “all”.
