After much discussion, both Mr. Schechter and I decided that for the sake of workflow and to allow us to be more nimble with the podcast, we are moving our release date of new episodes of Mikes on Mics to Fridays going forward.
When we were contemplating how we’d handle the move, we decided that rather than make listeners wait nearly two weeks to hear our dulcet tones, we’d release a second episode this week instead. So while we had a great chat with Stephen Hackett once again for the first episode of the week, the two of us discussed quality for the second one.
“[We] decided to dive into the idea of quality, not only regarding the type of work produced by people but the quality of the tools used by said people to make quality work. We talk about how we come to the decision of what tools we use, the value we place upon the tools themselves and the work that comes from using them. The emphasis is often placed on speed when productivity gets talked about, but we decide to go in a different direction and wind up with a “quality” discussion as a result.”
You can listen to Episode 21 with Stephen Hackett here and Episode 22, dubbed “The Quality Factor” here.
By moving to Fridays it also means I’ll offer up some brief thoughts on each weekly episode here at Vardy.me as well (most likely on Fridays or possibly Saturdays). You know…just in case you don’t want to miss out on hearing me talk about productivity and the like instead of just seeing what I write about it.
